Upcoming grant opportunity: State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP)

The Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM), in coordination with the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) and the Virginia Cybersecurity Planning Committee (VCPC), would like to inform you of an upcoming grant opportunity - the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP). The VCPC has been working to develop the new Virginia Cybersecurity Plan, which was approved on Monday, July 31 as a requirement of the SLCGP and will soon be developing grant priorities and application criteria. 

The VCPC recognizes the broad range of prospective applicants who may be interested in learning more about this grant program - local governments (and their respective departments/authorities), tribal governments, public schools, and higher education. To ensure that all have access to this information, VDEM has set up a list serve that interested parties can use to register for updates on the coming funding opportunity. VDEM anticipates the application period to open soon and will use this list serve as a mechanism to provide grant guidance, communicate key deadlines, and to provide technical assistance and resources as interested parties consider applying for this funding.
