VML is pleased to share the below opportunity with our members who may be interested in qualifying for funding and sponsorship:
Free, accessible outdoor wellness opportunities for communities and schools across Virginia are possible thanks to the new sponsorship announced last month between National Fitness Campaign and AetnaⓇ.
The sponsorship provides $350,000 in grant funding to communities and schools in the state of Virginia for 2024. This funding will be allocated to support municipalities across the state to join the growing National Fitness Campaign wellness campaign building healthy infrastructure for smart communities and schools of the future. National Fitness Campaign’s award-winning initiative has welcomed 500 healthy communities in America and is poised to deliver vital outdoor wellness programs helping to fight the health crisis across the country.
As you may have seen in our December newsletters and the July/August issue of Virginia Town & City, the Town of Dumfries and Mayor Derrick Wood celebrated the first Fitness CourtⓇ Studio in the state this past fall, joining Sterling, Wise, Bedford, Pulaski County and Big Stone Gap as the campaign continues to grow across Virginia.
If you would like to receive a briefing to learn more about the AetnaⓇ wellness campaign in Virginia and how to qualify, please fill out the short contact form at nationalfitnesscampaign.com/virginia.
Funding is now available for 2024 site partners and is projected to be allocated over the next 60 days.
