HUD Announces New PRO Housing Program, Webinars in August

Last week, HUD released a preview to its notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) for the Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing (PRO Housing) competitive grant program.

Housing PRO, funded through Public Law 117-328 (FY23 Consolidated Appropriations Act), is a competitive grant program to identify and remove barriers to affordable housing production and preservation. States, localities, metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs) are eligible to apply. Funds may be used for activities that further develop, evaluate, and implement housing policy plans; improve housing strategies; and facilitate affordable housing production and preservation. HUD is offering a preview of its NOFO to encourage applicants to prepare proposals in advance of the NOFO's publication in September 2023. The application deadline is October 30.
