Sub-Grant Opportunity for Local Governments
Tuesday, November 12, 2024/Categories: News Board
Through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) funding, Virginia Energy is offering competitive grants for local governments that did not receive EECBG direct funding allocations. Local governments that did receive direct funding, and are therefore not eligible are listed here.
Eligible localities can compete for Marketing, Education, and Outreach (MEO) sub-grants ranging from $10k-$100k by submitting projects that meet the criteria outlined in the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). Examples of eligible projects include boosting the capabilities of support staff in energy efficiency MEO, offering complimentary energy audits, funding services provided by Virginia Energy's contracted MEO vendor for the Virginia One Stop Shop initiative, and offering energy auditor training.
Applications will be accepted until all funding has been awarded or until 11:59 pm on November 29, 2024. Details, support materials, and the application can be found here. Localities can opt to partner together on a single project to braid their respective EECBG funds together.
